All about DISCOTHEQUE

Finally done with DISCOTHEQUE DVD screencapping. 512 screens, compared to just 87 I made last year. But the difference really shows.

DISCOTHEQUE is probably my favourite Alice Nine DVD. I love the fact that it's a summer tour with summery clothes. I really love the general atmosphere of it, the soft hues and more that anything Shou's raw and delicate sensuality. He looks so radiant and sexy. I don't feel like writing a full review so I'm just going to make a comprehensive list of my favourite things about it.

- the colourful outfits
- great fanservice
- the pink and green hues of the stage lights
- Shou's arm porn
- Tora with acoustic guitar
- everyone's smiles in Eraser

- The way Tora keeps shaking his head to clear off the bangs that get in his face

- towards the end everyone looking like they just had an orgasm

There's no way I can post all of my favourite screens here but here's a few a least:



Making these screens I noticed quite a few things I never noticed before. Like how Tora's nose is actually pretty crooked. It made me feel better about my own. Also there are some special screens that I decided not to share with general public, to save them for myself.

Josh Hartnett about GACKT- IamRogue interview 01/09/2011

Can you talk about the bond that is created between the Drifter and Yoshi in the movie and what it was like for you as an actor working with Gackt?

Hartnett: Yes, well it’s a bond of mutual respect coming from completely different styles and backgrounds. Not only physically and from two completely different film genre backgrounds, but also from different disciplinary sort of reactions to things. They just have completely different upbringings. So being able to understand each other came purely through their respect for what the other one was trying to achieve, not necessarily with their way of going about it. Then eventually of course their way of going about it crosses over. I think that working with Gackt, he’s a total professional. He was in the trailer learning English every day before we went to set. He’s just got this Rosetta Stone style of teach-yourself-English computer program and he’s just sitting there saying, “the cat wants some milk, the cat wants some milk,” all through the makeup sessions. It’s pretty hilarious to watch, but his English improved dramatically, the guy’s just can pull anything. I had a lot of respect for his work ethic and his ultimate take on the character. It’s not easy for a musician to come in and to do such a great job. He has no fear that guy. He pulls everything off.

I still love that old man though. You gotta love that.

I never really won at anything. I do believe in luck and I'm sure some people are luckier than others. But I also believe in Karma and stuff like that. The point is after the hard time I had this weekend I got a feeling that this couldn't be it, like something had to happen to amend this, something really good. The tide had to turn.

Anyway. The thing is that earlier I had ordered Alice Nine's ARENA37℃ BEST SELECTION File Book 2004-2013. It wasn't cheap but I really wanted it so I decided there's no better use for the money I got for my birthday. It arrived to my friend's last week. Apart from the cards and the poster it also came with a chance to win a spot at the signing event on the 25th which will take place right after the concert. I only mentioned it to my friend who ordered the book for me but she said I should give it a go - you had to write your impressions on the book and send the card. Today the confirmation e-mail came.

This means if everything goes well I'll have my book signed by all the band members. I'm afraid to think about it too much until it's happened. I still can hardly believe we won. Maybe it was the exotic surname, it doesn't really matter now. All that matters is that we both deserved it.

Sims 4

Now I know how the people who loved Sims 2 felt when they saw Sims 3. I feel so cheated. Not really excited by the graphics but the CAS!!!! And the BUILD!!! How could you?

Multitasking- Your Sim can hop on the treadmill and watch the home and garden channel on the TV – so she’s gaining a little gardening skill and getting fit on the treadmill at the same time. That Sim can then flirt with another Sim who is nearby, while staying on the treadmill!

Group Controls- Players will now have control over groups of Sims. You can now tell Sims when they’re in groups to do things together. ‘Go over there together,’ or click on a basketball hoop and select ‘shoot hoops together’.

Emotional States- Within each of the emotional states – including happy, sad, inspired and depressed, among others – are a range of nuances that will unlock contextual actions. Sad Sims might be inspired to paint something depressing, while angry Sims might have extra drive when working out! Mood influences Sim behavior and animation as well- the way the Sim gets out of bed, walks, and interacts with other Sims are all affected by mood.

New Buy Mode- Furniture can be purchased through an Ikea-like catalogue, offering a range of items that directly influence how a Sim feels within the environment.

New Build Mode- Just as in the new CAS, you will be able to place a room and drag it around and shape it easily. The new “blocks” system allows for extreme flexibility. You just plop down rooms and pull them apart and shape them as you please. You don’t need to plan a house beforehand; more flexible, and requires less time and patience. You can adjust the pitch, curvature and overhand of roofs! Still no curved walls.

Furniture Influence on Mood- An inspirational painting could boost the creativity of a Sim, while a room decorated with many romantic objects will make Sims feel “flirty”. However, just one romantic candle will not dramatically affect the mood of a Sim…it is more about the overall tone of the room.

New Relationship System- Instead of one relationship bar that slowly increases from friendship to romance, TS4 now has two concurrent bars- romance and friendship. It will be much easier to stay friends with a Sim without delving into romantic territory. This also opens up the possibility for “soul mates”, or two Sims that have maxed out friendship and romance bars!

New Create-A-Sim- Like molding clay, but not as messy. You can even change the way that a Sim walks! Randomization features have been made much more intelligent, so that even randomly selected clothes will match.

Aspiration System- Both short-term and long-term goals, as in TS2. There will be a variety of reward objects, as before.
Active Careers- The core game system allows for events where players can go out and play through certain parts of their Sim’s career. Again, you’ll be interacting with other Sims as well to move up the career ladder. But no going to work with Sims!

Vibrant Neighborhoods– Chose among brilliant and diverse lots for your Sims to live in. Vivid visuals bring your Sim’s home to life. The new neighborhood looks a lot like the Southern US, but more stylized and charming.

Memories- Sims will remember past outfits, relationships and experiences. These memories will have a significant effect on their behavior and mood.

Sound Design- The game has over half a million sound files, and the sound system has gotten a technical overhaul. Sound now has direction; a Sim with his back facing the camera will sound a little muffled when he speaks. Music and sound will even be different depending on the shape of the room. Basically, TS4 has acoustics.

Three Floor Limit- TS4 limits each house and building to only three floors, unlike previous games.


Ok, I just need to remind myself that:

- My PC will not like this
- The new games are always raw and glitchy
- No sexy clothes or skins or even penises!
- I've got some 5 GB worth of Sims 3 stuff, can't let it go to waste.

Let;s wait a few years then we'll see. And hopefully by that time I will have better things to do. Hey, I can dream.

It might as well be my worst day in the fandom. I simply don't know where I went wrong, what I did to deserve this. I fought with at least 5 people within the last few days, it's like everything just came tumbling down. I know I have my flaws, but I didn't deserve any of this. The more I try, the worse it gets. I get loads of shit for no reason at all. I was used to anon hate but lately I get personalized hate. It culminated today with a sweet little chat with Florpotter who turned out to be a two-faced bitch. It hurt you know, it really hurt like hell. Reminded me of that one rel-life incident that happened to me a few years ago with a person who used to be my friend. There were also some nice people, people who sent me encouraging messages and it was nice but somehow it never really fixes the hurt.

I guess I'll try to get off tumblr at least for a few days. See how empty the dash gets. Try to concentrate on work, on my own stuff like fics. I have to manage as much.

Ok, this post is way overdue but...

God, I love this song. This was the video that started my passionate love for Scrubs, all 9 seasons of it. But this isn't about Scrubs. It's about the two men whose friendship transcended the TV screen and became just as strong in real life - Zach Braff and Donald Faison. Once on a TV show after being teased by the host Zach called them 'Zonald' so that's how it came to be.

Some minor bitching about games and other stuff

Spent 2 days battling with Marvel Heroes, the damn game takes some 12 GB on hard drive. And in the end it just crashes without even loading! Even though it's supposed to meet the requirements. Bummer! I either need more RAM or a new Windows x64. Guess next time I'm going to try a new version. But I was really annoyed. Maybe if I make more money I will buy more RAM or something.

I went to look for an alternative but I've still got Jade Empire to finish and I don't wanna...

And then there's Drakensang. Ex expected, my second girl went from Level 1 to Level 34 while my first girl only went from 36 to 37. She also has a horse and a cool armour from the event. Which of course has no function whatsoever. They also added 5 levels but I wish they'd made more maps for us mortals instead, I'm so fed up with Mystra.



Also I got hooked on stupid time-management Times of Vikings of 50 MB. Those are so addictive.

In other news I'm in a much better state than a few days ago, dragging myself by the hair like a fucking Munchhausen.

Today I saw a person whom I have been conversion with online for quite awhile. It shouldn't have been a surprise but it was somehow and not in a good way. It's so weird though. I mean seeing the person totally changes your perception, no matter what. I guess that's why I made it my policy to never post my pictures online unless it's for people who have met me.

Also I wonder when I'm gonna meet my boss. We have a great relationship but I'm a little worried about seeing her. What if she's really cute? That'd be the last thing I need.

So yesterday I found this stash of old photos and I was kind of excited about it. I also found a couple of old Q&A's of that time. But as was looking and sorting these scans most of which were from 2006-2007 I realized something. Basically, the Alice Nine of that time was a very different band. Even though visually some looks very pretty good, before Rainbows their sound seems like it was lacking something substantial. But this isn't really about the sound. I realized that the members of that time (namely Shou and Tora) were also quite different people. They were younger than I am now and immature in their own way. Especially Tora. I guess that explains why I didn't fall for him earlier. The Tora I fell for was a host and a smart-ass, something he matured into. Same goes for Shou. They went a long way. What I'm saying is that now it seems natural that I didn't really get into them years ago. We both had to mature for that to happen.

Another thing that came to mind was that it seemed like during that time - around 2005-2006 they weren't nearly as close as they are now. Somehow you just get that feeling by looking at the pictures. I wonder if it was the drama of the A to U tour that brought them that much closer. Although according to my observations something seemed to happen during the Vandalize era. That adoration is Shou's eyes became painfully obvious, and even Tora's attitude noticeably changed. Even me who is not good at reading people can sense this.
