I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
I've never really been into anime. But recently that skit bu Niji no ninjin left me quite impressed and as I stumbed upon direct links for the anime I thought "why not give it a try?".
The setting of Victorian England and the gothic feel quite appeals to me. The animation itself is pretty good too. But surely that alone is not what entices me so much.
Kuroshitsuji is not a shounen-ai anime, but it has a lot of ambiguity and implications. Боян))
I was kinda clueless up until about 3rd episode. That's when it finally dawned on me there's something going on. At first I was like "isn't the boy 12? What's wrong with you, people?" But very soon I started to appreciate the subtle homoeroticism. At some points it was hard not to. I couldn't help sighing "this is so fucking romantic!"
for a moment there I almost expected a kiss
It was later that I found out about the huge fandom with tons of PWPs and NC-rated doujinshi. Most of them Ciel/Sebastian. And for the first time since forever I felt repulsion. And not only because the boy is 12 (or 13, in second half of the anime). His mental age is far beyond that. This is one of the cases when I prefer to leave things as they are - with only a subtlety.
Another thing I love about the anime is unexpectedness. You go WTF? several times in each episode. The demon is charming and graceful and the angel is psychotic and destructive while shinigami save the day. And I don't think I can ever get used to skipping from bloody murder scenes to chibi humour in a second. Despite the general dark atmosphere there are some really cute parts.

All in all I got really fascinated. And the ending scene was really... I actually shed a tear.
Not long ago the fandom was struck with the news that Season II is announced. People are restless trying to figure out what the hell that means. I'm not sure what to make of it myself. It's good to know you get to see more of the great anime, but i'm really suspicious about the plot. I'm afraid it will spoil the whole idea. The ending seems so perfect to me, as sad as it is.

PS: didn't expect to see you. that's, like, your first comment here. but i'm glad.
And, to tell the truth, it's easier for me to write in english in this part of the day.
You found YOUR anime, ne? May be this feeling is just for a period of one week or two but it is not bad
I suppose so. I know, I really love this feeling and don't want to let go of it. Season II won't be released until January 2009.
I don't want a separate story, it wouln't be the same without Ciel. But they can always think of something.
Do you know about musical?
The pictures look like just another J-Rock cosplay to me.
Makes them almost legal. You're mean. Now I want to watch it too. DVD will be only released in December.
Btw, if you're interested, the skit I was talking about can be watched here:

Too bad the quality is low, the costumes were really amazing.

Thanks for the links. I will wait for stable connection and watch. On the photo they really look like they are doing j-rock cosplay.

Thank you so much for sharing with me))
Кстати, про пенициллин.... у тебя в их Гамлете песня to be or no to be есть? У меня она просто отдельно, а в самом спектакле ее нет вообще....
Спросишь такое... Щас посмотрю... Ага, есть. На 37-й минуте.
