I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
Since I won't be watching the remaining seasons of Scrubs anytime soon, I started watching Mr. Brain. At first it was because of Gackt (starring as "Beautiful Revived Ghost"
. But along the way it turned out to be quite a decent drama. At first it seemed like a 'Lie to Me' rip-off. Except that it deals more with neurology than psychology and along the way boasts of Japan's latest developments in criminal investigation, which are very impressive indeed. But only the Japanese can put bloody murder scenes and animated chibis into the same drama. 
Gackt really freaked me out. He was only on film for a couple of minutes, but it was quite a presense. It's really scary how good he managed to portray a serial killer, not only that, but a serial killer who ate his victim's limbs. It was the very same expression he wears during his concerts, I always thought it looked scary and psychotic, but now...
There are also many other cameo appearances. All the familiar faces, even though I only watched a couple of doramas. Kame, Kato Koyuki and Nakama Yukie. And all of them are killers. I was especially impressed by Nakama Yukie, finally able to appreciate her as an actress, Gokusen so didn't do her justice.
All in all, it's quite a good dorama. I'm not that into detectives, at least not the ones that involve bloody murders and psychopats, but this one is actually good. The plot is really intricate and compelling. I couldn't wait to get to the bottom of each story.
Too bad there are only 6 subbed episodes.
