I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...

This is no news, but I feel that I need to commemorate. I had to watch it twice to get the real hang of it.
Note to self: never watch such films with someone who's falling on their face.
Though the subtitles proved to be useful after all.
I really anticipated the movie. Went as far as thoroughly exploring the plot of Midsummer Night's Dream, even though that proved unnecessary. I was so thankful for an LGBT film that isn't a drama, since lately I'm a bit weary of gay films 95% of which end in tragedy. It's a movie that both gays ang straight open-minded people can enjoy. Were the World Mine has elements of comedy (or should I say Comedy Of Errors?), melodrama and a musical and yet like all gay films it's meant to exercise tolerance and expose certain social issues, though in a very unobtrusive way. I really love the atmosphere, the music and the cast. I'm hopelessly hooked on the soundtrack. Pretty much all of it. And I'm totally in love with Tanner Cohen's voice. Singing in The Guts does him no justice. Tanner is not my type, but he has this subtle coy charisma that eventually won me over. I bet the boy has bright future. He's alrady regarded as a new pride of the gay community for coming out right away.

The boys made a lovely couple, imao))
The only thing I wished was that there were more songs from the play. I enjoyed them the most. Who could imagine Shakespeare's words are so fit for a musicle. I'd love to see the full version of the play. That'd be grand. I wish there were more movies like that
