Beforethoughts: I was really excited about the Shounen Club Premium. It's weird, I'm a relatively new fan but I already got so desperate to see them live. I mean they haven't been on a show together since the Countdown. The song is pretty good too. Well, as good as a song with 32 country names in it can be. And then of course the fact that the first broadcasted show of this little comeback was on my birthday.
MOREBut I was also a little annoyed. I actually didn't realize KAT_TUN are the hosts now. I really loved Taichi as host. He was so nice to everyone and great at bringing out the most intimate revelations out of people. I really didn't expect a whole group would fill a position. I knew it was going to be a totally different show. I also remember how Koyama was on and Taichi said he should try and aim for his seat. I was hoping he might take it one day but as expected K-TUN always had the preferential treatment.
Afterthoughts: I was thrilled to see my boys together in HD. They were dressed quite plainly but they looked nice. Except maybe Koyama, he looked really sleepy and lately I just can't help but see him as the granny. Tegoshi was in his off mode so he barely spoke and Shige was visibly nervous to be sitting closest to Kame who was actually also nervous about him. But Massu was unusually talkative. Maybe it was the proximity of Maru but he seemed really relaxed.
The whole thing was pretty short especially with all the VTRs and overall the talk wasn't as amusing as I expected it to be. In the beginning the atmosphere seemed very awkward. It got a little better eventually but honestly I thought K-TUN sucked as MCs. All they did was ask a number of standard questions that all NEWS fans already knew the answers to. I mean the stories were still amusing to hear even if we've all heard them before but they might as well talk by themselves. It just felt so different from the last time NEWS were on SCP in 2012. But all in all, it was still good to see them.
The performance was good. I mean it's not a fantastic song, but it's not bad and apart from the shitty set it looked good. Except maybe Koyama. I dunno, I didn't feel it before but somehow looking at him now makes me think he's too old for this. Actually, even Shige does but not as much. I know they had a very sporty image from day 1 but it really seems a lot more natural for 16-20 year olds to do this. Well, Nagisa made me feel the same thing. It seems Tegomass can go on like this for quite awhile but not Koyashige. Anyway, let's just enjoy what we have now.

25.05.2014 в 01:03Просто для меня всё это стало открытием так как за эти 8 лет я уже знала более-менее все группы ДжЕ и все они меня мало интересовали, но NEWS совершенно упустила из виду. Вернее, видела пару раз смутно, но в том виде они мне не были интересны. И только сейчас, вчетвером они меня покорили. Забавно бывает.
