I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
Lately I've seen a lot of people bitching about Russian sites stealing their stuff and the like. Some were appalled, some even threatened to quit making stuff and such. How unreasonable.
Here's what you need to know:
The best thing about Russian sites: They have EVERYTHING. Like, seriously, where do they even get that shit?
The worst thing about Russian sites: "Copyright? What's that?" They will steal your stuff and probably won't even credit you. Deal with it.
That said, technically I'm semi-Russian. But even since I discovered internet I've always been a part of international fandom so I don't really associate myself with Russian-speaking communities. But I can understand both mentalities. I wonder if that's a part of out communist legacy, 'everything for everyone', for free, complete disregard of intellectual property. But whatever the reason might be there is no way you can make our people obey all the rules and restrictions. Not gonna happen.
