I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
Today's special broadcast was really something! Though they could have told us the first hour will be PVs and live footage only. But it lasted almost 2 hours anyway. I tried to record it but my connection these days is so shit. I did record about half of it but it kept failing so I gave up on the second hour.
So now some notes. First of all, I really liked the studio. And I was glad that Shou was the MC. For all I know Tora seemed glad to step down and just relax the show. To be honest I think Shou didn't do that great and he kept looking at the sсript. I think he was just nervous that he won't be as good as Tora. But he's just different and lovely in his own way. I thinks he just needs more practice. I loved the part when the dice fell on Hiroto but he already talked about the previous song so Shou said Tora should answer and Tora was like: "Aren't you ignoring the rules?" and it was so funny and sweet. That's Shou and he can get away with anything))
But overall it was really fun. Some of thier conversations were so funny. Thought it was really hard to keep up with their comments - I can only read some kanji and they were too fast and some didn't display properly. There were also other things that were annoying me.
First of all my poor connection. That bitch! I got really upset that I couldn't take part in the quiz further which probably means I missed one of the questions because of a connection fail.

Ok, that's the end of coherent comments. Proceeding.
Tora, why U SO HOTT?

Everyone else looked great too. Though Saga seemed really tired. Seriously, he looked exhausted. That picture of him sleeping is so pitiful. And Hiroto looks so nglsd;cnvj adorable lately~

Not much ToraxShou action but all the 'Tora-chan' got me mellow~ And then Shou posted that picture on his blog. Thank you, dear!~
Damn, I love these men.

A new album release time is a great time for any fandom. So much excitement and cheering and spazz. That is until you actually listen to it and realize you can't join because you don't find it that good.

I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
She went back to Switzerland. I'm recuperating. Well, that was one hell of a week. It was almost surreal in a way. I mean I've talked with some Japanese people: we had 3 teachers and I spoke to one wonderful elderly gentleman and on weekends there are some small cute kids around UAJC but I've never met a young Japanese person before. So yeah, I was pretty excited. It was kind of amazing to finally speak about different things with a Japanese girl. It was like: "finally I've met the other side!" There were questions bugging me for years so I could finally speak out.
We talked about a lot of things. Like blood types and hair and music of course. Once we talked about Vocaloids, she really likes Piko and Sekihan and I said I really like utatte mite section and especially Toriko and she actually knows her! I was like
On the other hand I was a bit shocked about all the things she didn't know. I gave her several films. She didn't know about MoonChild or Kagen no Tsuki so I had to fix that. We watched Paradise Kiss together and she really enjoyed it but she kept pointing at George saying: "He looks so gay!"
I showed her the PV for Niji and she was like: "oh, so that's what it looks like". I asked: "do you like it?" and she was like "It's ok".
But the real shock came when it turned out she hasn't heard of Luna Sea. I realize she's just 17 but...
She doesn't like A9 'because they're too popular', but she seems very fond of Gackt and her mother happens to know his sister. And no, I don't think she's lying. In turn, she asked me "where do you people download stuff?" so I taught her how to use torrents))
We didn't see much of the city because 1: she hates walking and 2: it was damn cold. Monday I tried to take her out but it was freezing so we only took a walk through the centre and then hid underground. Wednesday we watched a film and Thursday we only went to the nearest shopping mall. On Friday I brought her to the Western Art Museum. She was humming Precious by ViViD because I made her a DVD with various J-Rock PV's. ^^ Surely I had to translate all of the lecture too but it was really interesting actually. After the museum some Julia girl showed up and took her to this 'teenage party' which Christian kids. I was worried she'd get very bored but in fact she told me later that "it was interesting to see Ukrainian youth not drinking or smoking." XDD But we did quite a bit of shopping. Even though she hardly brought anything. She mostly just wanted stuff for her Misa cosplay. Too bad I don't really share her love for shopping and neon pink. But it was fun anyway.
At first she was a bit shy but by Sunday she got very comfortable with me and in the evening she was playing Miyavi and AAA videos and squealing like there's no tomorrow. It was a little embarrassing. But actually she's quite a smart girl.
I'm seriously beginning to think I was a Japanese man in my last life judging by how overprotective I got with her. I really have a need to protect someone as opposed to wanting to be protected. Why am I like that?
But overall it has been a very interesting experience. Quite tiring at times and it was also a bit confusing to switch between Japanese, English and Russian every now and then. But I'm glad I went for it. In a way I guess I even matured a bit in just this one week. Yesterday I also got all sentimental. But we'll probably meet again, maybe even quite soon.
I took this photo secretly, so if you meet her, don't tell her.

Oh, I don't really care about KAT-TUN, but I just found out that Kame officially became the leader. I didn't even know Ueda stepped down before debut. What's with this leadership thing lately? Also I just saw this and loled really hard:
In 2010, Akanishi Jin left the group to pursue his solo career. After his departure the letter A in KAT-TUN remained as supplied by Kamenashi.
So now Kame even PWns the band name? Other members better watch out or their letters might get pwned too. LOL) This is why making a name from the members' initials is not a good idea. Ask TRAX.

Now that I think of it I'm sort of tsundere myself. I mean, it doesn't really show since I'm a quiet person but in terms of feelings... I know my character very well, I know my habits and stuff, but my emotions are out of control and I kind of hate it. One day I think: "I don't really care about her, we never were friends to begin with." And the next day I'm all nice and sentimental. When this happens I really begin to wonder which is the real me.

I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
Her name is Shinoka which means 'purple flower', she's 17 and I'm babysitting her this week while she stays in Kiev.
She studies in Switzerland and her mother is some cool business-woman but she's not spoiled at all. In fact I expected her to be very westernized after having spent 2 years in Europe but she's very polite or rather very Japanese-mannered. She keeps saying "It's ok", but I'm only beginning to understand what she means by it. It could mean "It's ok. I want to but you don't have to do it" or "It's ok. I don't want to but I'll do it" and sometimes I suppose it can actually mean it's ok. My Japanese is only good enough to make small talk so we inevitably slip into English which she speaks very well. She likes pink and horror movies and Gazette and basically as far as I'm concerned she's a typical Japanese teenager. Surely it's kind of fun hanging out with her but it's also pretty tiring.
Too lazy to write more for now and the weekend is still ahead.

I don’t wanna feel Blue anymore...
The song surely would have been hard to listen to and very technical due to the way it was composed.
Shou: I think so too. If I had composed the entire song myself, it would have become a tricky one, and the song itself might not have come about. So the members, while racking their brains on this song, took down notes about the kind of scenery I wanted to sing about. I really thought that they were amazing. It made me, once again, think that my fellow members really are amazing people, and made me see them in a new light. I think that it takes a lot of power to make something erratic not sound erratic. (about Niji no Yuki)
***
Tora: Yeah (laughs). If memory serves, Shou wanted to do a song with this kind of feeling and brought us a sample. I get the feeling that after hearing it, we were like "I see! Roger!" and went on the make the song. Obviously, we didn't copy the pace of the song or the chords. It was a song that we created, communicating the fact that we wanted to do awesome lives. For some reason, I remember it clearly. (About Yami ni Chiru Sakura)
Shoxx, vol. 228
Another huge interview all about the songwriting process. But it was so sweet to read how Shou basically made Hiroto and Saga and Tora do most of the work to complete his song. Not that they minded much. Who can ever refuse that boy? But it seems like he began sneakily operating a long time ago)
Also when I heard Nemesis I thought it was Tora's song, it felt like one. Then I found Hiroto wrote it and I thought my hunch was wrong. But in this interview in turns out Tora actually took the song from Hiroto and worked on it to put in on the single so there you go.
Alice Nine really got me interested in some things I haven't paid attention to before. Suddenly I became interested in how a band functions. Especially the songwriting process. It just seems so amazing how one person comes up with a melody and basic structure and then others add and modify various aspects until it becomes what they want it to be. Until recently I was very interested in who wrote each song. I mean, I still am but now I see that it'd be unfair to attribute a song just to the original composer, it's really a collaborative effort. And Shou works on every song since he writes the lyrics. It isn't easy to try and understand what the composer wanted to convey and express it in the lyrics. Like, for example, when Hiroto wrote Fantasy about a friend who died and Shou related to these feelings because he had a similar experience so he put his feelings onto the lyrics and they are really really beautiful. To me it's very fascinating.
