R.I.P. Chiko

Sorry for the late information,
but at exactly 7pm on January 17,
Chiko passed away at age 17 and 7 months.
He died of old age.

His legs had been weak since last year’s spring,
and he had been bedridden since the end of the tour in December.

There was a time when he was cute and bouncing with energy,
but even when he became confined and turned into nothing but skin and bones,
it’s the owner’s duty to keep an eye on him until the end.

In the very least, we made sure he wouldn’t feel alone.
In the end, he went to sleep in my mother’s arms after taking two big breaths.

It’s sad to lose a family member,
but Chiko was loved by everyone during his life.

When he became bedridden,
we surrounded him with the things fans sent for him!

For example, a hand-made blanket embroidered with his name…
Fanletters addressed to him.
I truly think of those things as treasures.

As the owner, I have no regrets.

I’m sure Chiko’s saying “Thank you” to everyone from up in the sky.

Once in a while, please remember him!

I don't usually care for these things, but this was so touching I almost cried. Of course it was no tragedy, but didn't he say Chiko was his best friend? But I'm really glad he has such a great attitude about it. R.I.P., Chiko.

Baby, those legs go on forever...

To make that post I re-watched almost all of the comments I had on my PC and more, about 60 in all. Boy, it was fun. There are some comments, especially Mirror Ball where Tora acts as a strict teacher (must be the glasses) and Shou is like his best student, (who has a crush on him) always ready to answer) And Hiroto is a smart but shy boy who ended up in an older group and Saga and Nao are the mischievous kids always slacking off. And then there are many comments where Tora and Shou are like Mum and Dad of three naughty boys. Ah, so much love~



I can't see anything but those legs.....

So-net Music Comment [2011-02-09]

I really love this one. Tora is so bossy. Basically he tries to make them answer a question and they all misunderstand it and at the end he complains to Shou about how hard it is to deal with those 3 people in the back and Hiroto protests but Tora just ignores him and draws the comment to an end.

I miss my sims so much. It's been probably over half a year since I played it. I really had no time for that and I kept myself away. Now that I'm done with Drakensang I will try to slowly reinstall them and set everything up. It will take a long long time and lots of effort but I really want to.

There might be things lost, but at least all of my sims should be fine. I think there was a problem with Nao and someone else but hopefully I'll be able to recover them from saved games. I even lost most of the screens I made within the last months of play.

I miss my boys~ And I really want to make more clothes and try out all the new poses.

Ok, now I ran out of ViViD styles to watch too. Lol their show seems so... normal compared to Alice9 channel. Well, the latter started just as normal and then somehow evolved into this torture fest XD I wonder how it is with other bands' shows. But anyway, I slept in for January broadcast so I only watched it now. It was nice. I have to say I was quite impressed with the footage from Budoukan. They were good and Shin sounds great live even though I don't really like those songs. Also I think Reno makes a good host and it just feels right to see him leading but the downside is he's not sitting next to Shin any more so no more cute trolling.



I should try to catch the next episode if it lets me in, of course.

I've had another one of my apocaliptic dreams. I bet this year there are many more to come. But that's not the point of why I wrote. There was Jae in it. Not for long, but I remember we were at the bank of a river or something and it was icy cold, but he went into it and I think he was naked too. But it wasn't sexual at all. And I could sense this feeling of desperation and sadness around him. And I felt so sorry for him because he was so beautiful but so lonely and lost... But I really missed having him in my dreams.

Drakensang: The Dark Eye - cleared!

Like, finally. Not going to update the first post, it was way too long ago. Took me about 3 months to finish the game but I took my time. I don't have much to add to what I wrote before. It's a great game, really. The graphics and the gameplay are very neat. The plot is not that good though, and it gets worse towards the end. The ending was really lame to be honest. But oh well, you can't have it all.

JYJ WORLDWIDE IN SEOUL

Finally watched it and I have to write about it. It's not like there were any surprises really since I watched about few dozen of fancams at the time not to mention thousands of photos. But of course fancams and DVD are different things. The concert took place about 1,5 years ago but the memories of that time resurfaced easily.

There was the whole dome problem. You could see how freaking cold it was, their breath was white and it snowed too. But they did amazing.

The first third of concert was effectively spoiled by the dancers. I already bitched about it enough so I really don't want to start on it again, but let's just say I really hope they won't be working together any more. I Love You is a song I really like and Yoochun did a great job singing it live but overall performance was ruined for me. Thankfully though it wasn't as bad as I expected. The women weren't in focus all the time and towards the middle of the concert I almost forgot about them altogether and was to enjoy the concert properly.

This is when I remember they're the best vocal male group in Korea and probably Asia. I love all three of their voices and I can't even rate them. My mum favours Jae, she says he has the voice of an angel) But I personally favour Yoochun. He might be behind in terms of technique but his voice is so unique and so damn sexy idek. So for me the biggest highlight was probably the Drunken Truth solo. It's not like the song is amazing or anything but I pretty much adore anything acoustic and by Yoochun. But really it just felt good to see and hear a proper live performance for once, not a crappy fancam.

Also I really loved the orchestra part. Junsu's solos are always amazing. It's something that cannot be expressed with words. Overall there were songs I loved and there were some I didn't really care about but JYJ would never disappoint me.

I also noticed the amount of ajummas was incredible. The last time I checked Korean fans were mostly young but now it seems the audience is full of ajummas. The number of men has also increased noticeably. But it really seems that there aren't many people who would discover them now so the fandom is mostly old die-hard fans. Like myself. Boys, you're amazing~♥

Alice Nine Pimp Post#2 - PV's

Ok, I have no idea which videos you have seen so I'm going to pretend you haven't seen any)
The band currently has 30 original PV's and some versions so I chose 12 that I consider to be the best in terms of both music and the video. I included some comments in hopes of making it more interesting and of course - chronological order!)

Velvet

It was probably the first PV I saw and it's a good starting point. The song is fast and powerful and the video is flashy and enticing. It's brimming with younthful energy since at the time the composer was only 20. Also Shou sings lower than usual creating an unforgettable effect for those who are new to the band)

MORE

Fantasy

Another song that went to my player straight on and became a permanent resident there. The lyrics are very beautiful. They speak of losing a friend but the song itself is full of life. The video is quite simple and colourless compared to their other works but it fits the song perfectly.




Shunkashuutou

This video was shot early on but wasn't released until a few years after which made the fans go crazy. Why? It features boys in school uniforms)
Morale of the PV: don't waste your time at school, go make a rock band! Fun fact: in the PV everyone except Nao can't be bothered to study. This pretty much reflects how things really were for the band members since Hiroto dropped out of high school while Tora and Saga were very reluctant to finish it.




Eraser ~Memoire d'une fleur

I'm not too fond of the song actually but the video is very beautiful. "Boys over flowers" is the theme~ Shou with blue hair looks like he just stepped out of shoujo manga. The PV is bright and upbeat and I love to play it on sunny mornings.




Gekkou Yoku

The PV was released to promote the Alice in Pictures DVD. It's very simple with cheap graphics background and casual clothes but that serves to not distract attention from the boys themselves who look mighty fine. The song is also very bright and energetic.
The main highlight: Shou's pink/yellow make-up!)




RAINBOWS

Rainbows is a real classic. It was a great shifting moment for the band both music and style-vise. I wish I'd seen the uproar it caused in the fandom at the moment. I myself went WTF? when I saw it but eventually I grew to love it. The main highlight: Shou's leopard-print pants.




Hana

The PV became known as the Alice9 Channel PV. That was because they played it on the show for a whole year since they didn't release any new PV's. The PV also marked the band's name change or rather the spelling of name change as they reached their 5th anniversary. The song has awesome guitar solos and an oriental feel or so Shou claims)




Senkou

The fast catchy song soon became one of my favourites. I only wish I didn't look up the lyrics but nevermind. The PV is flashy and sparkling since the title translates to 'flash'. The main highlight: Shou's swarowski-embedded eye-patch.




The Beautiful Name

A very beautiful PV and a very beautiful song. I have no more to say.




SLEEPWALKER

This here is one of my absolute favourites. It's so classic, J-Rock at its best. The song is amazing and I consider it among the best in terms of music quality, it has so many layers and undertones. The video is also very beautiful. The imagery was inspired by Chernobyl.




GEMINI-0-eternal

The title track from the band's 4th album, it shows the band's maturity both in terms of music and visual style. Actually this PV is just for the 1st part of the song which is a trilogy. In full it is perhaps my favouritest song of theirs.




BLUE FLAME

This song actually has two PV's or rather two versions of it - Type A and Type B. Type B has more of the 'plot' while A has scenes of the band playing. Either way the PV is very pretty. The concept is something like this: the band disbanded and everyone is trying to cope with it. Nao has a fit of rage, Tora cries and Saga's become a junky?

Another amazing episode. I laughed and squealed like mad once again. Some notes.

Tora still looks really tired. No wonder with how much they work. Tour, single release, shooting the PV, recording the album... Guys, you need to slow down.
Nico Nico staff has a great imagination for thinking of terrible humiliating trial for the boys. The stinky box one was just plain mean. Poor Saga suffered so much again. I mean, it's all fun but I want to see more harmless games. And SHOU! You're the MAN!)))

Also the new PV is AWESOME! The tender monochrome intro, the rocking main part and the 'OMGthisissoosweet' outro... The song will take time to get into but I think it's a good thing. Boys, let me love you~
