Shou's new twitter background is almost the same colour as my diary lol! And I'm loving the new profile picture)) That photoshoot is finally out)
Today they had a photoshoot for the single I think and Shou kept spamming. Sneak previews of dearest members and all ~♥ Hope the pictures will turn out pretty~
Isn't fandom something that should bring you happiness? It's complicated, but that's what I came to currently. After all "a conclusion is but a shred of thought that appears when you are tired of thinking". Anyway, right now my fandom makes me happy and I sort of feel bad for all the people who are anguished by their.
After all it seems so stupid to be troubled over their problems: they are doing their dream job, they have close friends, supportive families, they are loved by millions of people and are are filthy rich. Can you boast the same? I bet not.
The fic I'm working on already has 2,000 words! That's pretty fast for me. It's only a backbone, but I have 9 scenes at various degrees of completion. I wonder if anyone writes the same way I do? Anyway, it's not just about filling in the scenes, the most important thing for me is the emotional landscape, so to say. Well, hopefully one day I'll finish it. Yosh!
The coolest J-Rock band ever would be able to make melodies like L'Arc~en~Ciel, their music would be as cool as Dir en Grey, the vocalist's range would be as huge as Gackt's and the members would be as close as Alice Nine. And they'd be as good-looking as... ah whatever. Because then I'd probably so obsessed with them I'd have no life whatsoever.
Woah! Looks like we finally have some serious progress with the Sims 3. Within the last few days there's been the sliders pack to make guys truly unique AND there's something really big on the way with custom animations and full pack. I REALLY hope this project will be successful. Yes, I want Sims to get nasty!
I missed my first calligraphy class. It really sucks but it's not like I can do anything about it. The weather is freakishly cold, I can't get warm no mater how much I try. Not to mention I feel like crap but I don't want to talk about it. It's been awhile since I posted any pictures so here, have a cute Hiroto gif!
Still reading the blogs and it's so epic. I'm at 2009 now. Vandalize Tour was so full of win with stuff like the transformation of Ono-san 'produced' by Tora and Saga shouting "s*ck my c*ck baby!" Also it's funny how I originally was way more interested in Shou's tweets and wasn't sure whether I should follow Hiroto and probably did it just because he posts awesome photos of the sky... yet today's the 3rd time I replied to his tweet.
I should have known better that uploading the stuff from NHK. But the good thing is I did a smart move and saved the page with all the vids so at least it'll be easier to set a new one.
That awkward moment when you turn on your mp3 player, press 'play', wonder why the hell the sound doesn't come, turn up the volume... and then realize that you don't have the earphones on. >_<
After much effort I finally managed to set up the Japanese input. That one was long time coming. It turned out pretty convenient and translating scans doesn't sem so scary any more.
Today stumbled upon officially the shittiest fic of the year. Actually, 'stumbled' is not the right word, it was a fucking recommendation. Geez. How retarded a peson has to be to like this shit? You'd think over the years I'd develop immunity, but I still get slightly scarred. At least I learned to forgive myself for checking out that kind of stuff. After all it's a gamble all the way.
Me wants. Me so wants. I've been wanting something of them lately and this single feels like something special. Which might be a bit silly since there wasn't even a preview yet. But I want the limited edition for the DVD. Whether it's Type A or Type B will depend on the cover)) Anyway, I need to make some money asap, how won't matter. There's still two months left.
Finally watched the L'Anniversary live. To be honest this has to be the first time I feel kind of disappointed by Laruku.
Concept. There was none. I mean with the 15th L'Anniversary they had this great concept of time travel with video footage and costumes and some very special songs nobody expected to hear. And this time there was nothing. The video was half-assed and the stage was very plain, nothing that would look remotely festive. You do have to give them credit for carrying out the gig in such a weather, but that's Japanese for you. The playlist was kind of boring. I mean, sure all the songs were good, but it was so damn predictable. The only good surprise was Dune, but that was about it really. I'd be a liar if I said Hyde isn't one of the most important factors at any live. And he really bothers me lately. I'm afraid he is turning into Hakuei. Those outrageous clothes, that hair and too much make-up. Not to mention he showed off more that usual. It was obscene and for the first time Hyde became something that made it harder for me to enjoy the concert. I'm really hoping it's But the way he looked wasn't by far the only thing that bothered me. He sang most songs very differently, especially on the second day. Now some may say it's good, it's improvised or something, but to me it looked like he's being lazy. I mean, he's one of my favourite vocalists, but here it looked like he wasn't using half of his potential. Either that or he couldn't which I don't even want to consider. Ken was enjoying himself as always and on one hand it was good to see, but on the other to me it seemed like he was in a world of him own, as if he didn't give a damn whether he was playing at a stadium or in his bedroom. He really looked like a lunatic going crazy in the rain. The banana ritual at the end was cute, but... I don't know. It just ended like that. I guess I expected hugs and tears and just something more... Maybe I just watched too many A9 lives. But yeah, I was left with a feeling of something lacking. Overall probably one of my least favourite concerts of them. Not saying it was bad, of course, it's just that they set the bar so high and on such an occasion I expected something really grandiose.
Finally done with 2 of the summer dramas I was watching so here goes.
Ikemen desu ne
I loved the Korean version so I decided to give it a try. Jitsu wa...Frankly the first couple of episodes were pretty good, the drama seemed to carry a fresh feeling. It was different in some ways, but it seemed decent enough. I liked the fact that the Jap version didn't follow the sсript verbatim, adding some plot-lines and changing some characters. But after the first few episodes for me the interest began dropping and towards the end it just got plain boring.
Now the cast. Here's a short evaluation for main characters: Seriously, they could have done better than that knowing the critical approach they will face after the Korean version. But the biggest problem with Japanese dramas for me is that half of them is swarmed by Johnnie's boys. Now I don't have anything against them per se, but clearly they aren't always the best option. Shuu was perfect, but overall the boys severely lacked in looks, acting skills and singing. Plus they bring their stylists and it's horrid. One of the charms of the original drama besides the cast were great clothes and accessories and it was that much more painfully clear how cheap the Japanese counterparts looked. Overall rating: decent.

Ouran High School Host Club
Jjing! The anime was one of the few I actually watched and liked so I was very curious how it will turn out. I have to say I'm very satisfied with the outcome. The most important factor is obviously the cast. Everyone did a really good job. I know many criticized Yusuke. I agree he's not the most handsome guy and he doesn't look like Tamaki, but he was really good. Also THIS:
Daitou Shunsuke as Kyouya was just perfect. I really liked him from before, but this role almost seemed to have been made for him. Also for some reason I was madly excited they actually found the twins. I can only imagine how embarrassing it was for them though) The reat of the gang was also pretty good. And there you go - a Johnny's-free drama! XDD I also liked the use of special effects. I think filming from anime and manga that's full of such stuff is always a challenge, but with this drama the balance is good. It adds a good deal of comical effect but doesn't go overboard which often happens with live actions and such. My only regret is that they only made one season. Overall rating: Very good.
Obligatory picspam from my screens:
Lastly some more Ouran crack from tumblr.

There is one more drama to finish, but it's so special that even though it ended earlier being just 10 episodes I waited for these two to end before continuing with it.
