So I finally took the time to check them out. I decided I need to know more about the young bands but frankly there isn't much to see, really. I mean SuG annoy me to hell and Screw... well, they're ugly. What? Yes, I'm that shallow.
So anyway, I watched some PV's, checked out some photos and videos and even some nico nico broadcasts so now I cannot but make a verdict. To say there's little stuff of them is an understatement really but I did a great job. I mean, in just about 2 days I managed to evaluate their music, learn the members' names and even choose an OTP. For Alice Nine that took 5 damn years...

So anyway, let's get to business. Basically it started as usual...
A LOT MORESo yeah, I like Shin. He's pretty. As it turned out. The wonderful stylists of PS have an amazing talent of making pretty people look weird. But it's not just that. I mean Takeru is actually quite good-looking but he pisses me off big time, to the point where I want to smack him. Shin seems very polite and quiet at public events and yet very outspoken and funny when it's only the band concerned. He's actually a little weird and very random, a lot like Shou. And I really like his spoken voice. It's the kind of voice I expected Shou to have. Also he seems to be the only member with a good sense of style. So basically, yeah he's like a younger version of Shou in a way. No matter how you look at it, it's that type.
Sorry, Shou! It's not like I'm ditching you for a younger guy! Honest! You're still my favourite princess)
But that picture they did for the Real Kingdom - They look like sisters brothers!))
As for other members my first impressions were brief:
IV is weird.
Ryouga is ugly.
Ko-ki is a Takeru-lookalike and therefore annoying.
Reno is an Uruha-wannabe. Seriously, dude. Not everyone is made for wearing slutty outfits.
So in terms of OTP at first I could't see anyone to match Shin. "There isn't even one seme-looking guy in the band", I thought. But if I had to choose I'd go for Reno. and was like O_o And then I saw the guy without make-up and was like O_o I mean, he's... so normal. He's quite handsome and charismatic but basically there's nothing feminine about him really. The transformation was really shocking. But oh well. Everyone has Alter Egos I suppose.

Reno, please don't ever go back to that! This bands needs some balls.
Unexpectedly the guy also turned out to the leader and he's quite a good host too. What a surprise! He acts like such a brat, he should have went for the bass, really. Anyway. After some investigation turned he and Shin share a very endearing relationship.

So yeah, problem solver! I'm very pleased with myself))
Vivid also took after their senpais it terms of Fanservice. There's some kissing on stage, but that's just cute pecks from Shin to IV, the kind of stuff Hiroto does. That doesn't even qualify as fanservice in my book.

And yes, I did have that gif for half a year before I even know who the guys were. What? It's cute.
And then there's the flirting in shows, suggestive phrases thrown here and there and such. Also I quite like their concept "let's molest the vocalist!""let's molest the vocalist!" This kind of comments is the best.

Since I'm on it... this need to be said. Notable PV - 69-II PV. Concept: Shin goes around with this very uke-ish look that pretty much screams "Rape me""Rape me" and the rest of the band try to seduce him. However in the end he is left unimpressed. lol. But overall is looks nice. The trick works too - after a few times watching the video you realize the song is actually pretty good.

Did I forget something? Ah, yes. The music. Well, it's pretty average. Standard J-rock but in a good way. It slightly annoys me that they have a live at Budoukan in 2 years while A9 took 6 years to do that. And they already have their own 1h-long show. But style-vise they did develop very quickly - from outrageous stage of indies to a simple elegant look in the latest PV. Somehow their music reminds me of Penicillin. Funny that Shin without make-up also kind of looks like Hakuei. Speaking of Shin I need to say a few words about his vocals. J-Rock vocalists sound really alike. When you begin listening to Japanese bands it's quite discouraging - they all seem to sound exactly the same. As time passes you learn to differentiate them by singing style, pitch etc. So anyway the thing about Shin's vocals is... there's no identifier. I mean, it's like his voice is the average J-Rock voice. Like, wow.
Also naturally after a few days I began liking some songs - especially 69-II and Precious.
So basically I like them. They're not bad as a band and quite amusing to look at. I already watched some of their Nico Nico shows and they are moderately fun to watch but the fact that I don't really care for most members takes its toll.
Actually I've been feeling quite guilty these past few days for being interested in them. But now I think it's safe to say there's no way they can upstage Alice Nine both music and looks personality-vice. Besides I found out if there isn't much Alice Nine stuff online with Vivid it's a lot worse so it's not like I can spend much time on them even if I wanted. So I decided it's ok to check on them once in a while, maybe I'll even watch THE ViViD STYLE if the time suits me. But that's that.
But it was nice to meet you, boys!
I upgraded from picture-posts to gif-posts. Lol.
Шин улыбается совсем как Шо - это именно та улыбка, за которую я люблю вокалиста А9 ещё больше!
Ага, я это подметила еще когда ее сохраняла. И у моего Джеджуна такая)
