I did come across this one before but I rejected it for being too obvious a choice. But lately I stumbled upon it once agian so I decided to give it a go.
Frankly I was a little weary of all the school comedy dramas but this one has very little comedy and quite a bit of drama. Actually I didn't expect I'd be crying a river but it was impossible not to. But I quite enjoyed it and the timing felt right. First of all I like specialized dramas and then of course you can't deny the appeal of all the ikemen in the cast. Daito Shunsuke as a lovable geek was refreshing. Nakamura Yuichi as Suzuki Shu the boy genious was not very convincing though, I really felt like he was way behind on the acting skills but you can't really hold it against him especially in the end.
As for Asumi at first I didn't like her but gradually I did develop some affection for her. All in all the drama is somewhat sentimental but not sappy and it's also quite engaging and unpredictable.
