Everyone talks about unrequited love but nobody ever talks about unrequited friendship.
When your friend begins to spend more time with another friend, when you plan to hang out and wait for a call that never comes, when they forget your birthday, when you want to get closer to someone but get rejected time after time and you realize they probably just don't like you enough. Doesn't that hurt just as much?
What makes it worse is that you are never officially rejected, like if you confess your love and get your heart broken you at least know you need to move on but with friends you can only get excuses and keep wondering, it can go on for years, the dying of friendship is slow and painful.
