Of course there were way too many to count in the last few months. I watched tons of films, old and new, most of them chick-flicks. So I’ll point out just a few. Somehow they all happen to be gay-themed. Actually I dislike to think of it that way. It’s the same how I don’t really like Gay Pride stuff. To me it’s like Black Pride or something. And I dislike the fact that all these films only take part in LGBT festivals. All of them are kinda fairy-tale-like, but that’s just the stuff I want. There are way too many LGBT dramas, so much that I begin to think it’s a plot of homophobes to discourage those who watch it. Anyway, I totally love all 4 of them.
An added plus is that all films except the first I watched in English.

I Love You Phillip Morris
I heard about this movie about a year ago and I’ve been checking on it ever since. I totally love it. Jim Carrey did perfect for this role. Also I gained a lot of respect for McGregor. Quote: "It wasn't awkward. You're not playing a gay or a straight character. You're playing someone who's in love. ... As an actor you're always looking for interesting stories. I've played gay characters so I've kissed men before. It's about getting on with it. And it all felt strangely usual."
I also read quite a bit about the real Steven Jay Russell and I totally adore him. His story is even cooler than portrayed in the movie. I’d love to quote half the interview so here’s just a link instead.

All in all I think it’s one of the most romantic love stories, gay or straight. Love this movie.

The Big Gay Musical

-I met a cute boy last night.
-Oh, me too!
-Mine sang me a song.
-Mine’s a Mormon.
-I think we’re both pretty damn pathetic.
-I think I like being pathetic.

I think I have a thing for gay musicals. It’s one of the loveliest movies ever. Not as lovely as Were the World Mine, but still lovely. It’s very fairy-tale-like, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I'm also glad they made a whole little musical and put a complete version along with the main storyline. I kinda expected it to end a bit differently, but it was nice and touching all right.

I Can't Think Straight
There are a lot of gay movies about men. This time I picked one about women for a change. It’s a really pretty and simple movie about finding courage to be yourself. Unlike most others though it also deals with cultural issues since one of the girls is of Indian descent and the other is from Jordan. It’s a really nice watch and both women are really hot. Also I loved the maid who took extraordinary pleasure in her daily routine of spitting into her bitchy mistress’ glass.

Make The Yuletide Gay

- I love it. This is by far the gayest thing I own.

OH.MY.GOD. I love this movie. This is exactly what a gay comedy should be like. Fucking brilliant. And even though I usually dislike fag-hag characters Abbey is really cool. It’s a Christmas movie but I couldn’t wait for that long. I do know what I’ll be watching next Christmas though.
