If you for some reason are going to read it note that this post contains lots of spoilers.Heading to the ground I have mixed feelings about it. For about half a year I really didn’t feel like watching it, but a time came… The first half was hard to watch, Yunho was so embarrassing with his ridiculous over-acting and goody but dumb character. Yet, towards the middle I didn’t even notice how he kept doing better and better in each episode. In the end his acting was quite decent. Once again he managed to impress me. But apart from that I really think it’s a decent drama no matter what people say. I like the characters and the plot is not too bad except some parts.
Atashinchi no Danshi A sappy fairy-tale like family drama. The brief appearance of Hard Gay was really something and why is it that in many Japanese dramas when boys fall in love they decide it’s a good idea to practice on their friends? Ridiculously unrealistic like most Japanese dramas, but pretty hilarious and touching.
MOREHappy Boys
A little drama about a Butler Café. I watched it following a brief fascination with Koji Seto. It’s not much, but I’d still prefer it over any Russian series any day.
Ouran Host Club
I know it’s not a drama, but I didn’t want to make a separate post for this. Since I was on the topic of Host Clubs this seemed fit. Another anime I watched after a talented scene by local anime club. It’s quite a cute anime.
You Are Beautiful
My unlikely favorite of all. From what I heard I expected something pretty average, but in the end I totally loved it.
The most ridiculous thing about it – does the author even know the elementary genetics? - there’s no such thing as identical twins of different sex. Once you choose to ignore all the silly discrepancies you begin to really enjoy the drama.
I kinda fell for Jang GenSeuk. I saw him before in Baby and Me and I thought he was all right, but here he’s fucking hot. A lot of it is due to his stylist – the guy is a genius - his clothes and haircuts are to die for. This role of arrogant selfish bastard suits him well and his deathglares are strong. He’s overacting a bit, but it looks extremely cute. Though he did great for some reason I kept imagining how other actors would fit this role. I bet Top would look cool with his intense stare. Also Chunnie would be brilliant. (But of course I happened to read an eponymous fanfic.)
My mum also totally fell for him, by 7th episode she was glued to the screen, joined by my sister by about 9th episode. My mum actually remembered his name which is, like, a miracle. She can’t remember Hyde, for crying out loud.
Nobuta wo Produce
Like, finally. After about 5 years I watched it. Basically I think it’s pretty good. Not among my favourites, but worth a watch. I also grew to like YamaPi a bit more. I'm really a very conservative slasher and a choosy at that. I honestly didn't see it that way at all. Except for the ending obviously. The ending was, like, WTF? One might think they did it based on audience poll.
Sapuri
I had it on CDs for about 4 years and never came around to watching it. I’m not that into Kame. But my mum demands for more so I digged through all my supplies. At first I found it a bit boring, but overall it’s a decent drama. It’s pitiful to think that this is what working in Japan really looks like.
