Alice9 Channel

I feel so stupidly happy and overwhelmed. Maybe partly because I thought it's going to be an average broadcast, but it turned out like this. But I just enjoyed today's show like there's no tomorrow. I just felt I love the boys so much! Like, all of them. I already accepted the fact that Tora won't come today, but then he came all of a sudden and I just felt so much joy it was weird. But then I felt something's really missing and I really wished Saga were there too even though I don't even like him much and then he burst in as Tomorrow Joe all bitchy and ridiculous and suddenly my life felt complete. XDD It was sort of a really bitter-sweet feeling.

There were many great broadcasts, but emotionally-vice I suppose this one had the strongest impact. You could see what a good family team they are and what it is that makes them work.

In other words:
- Shou looks stunning. And those tight tight pants...
- Tora totally came back to his Blue Flame look. I hate the facial hair! But other than that he look really tired.
- I didn't really like Niji no Yuki, but the PV is very pretty. Which is often the case with A9. No matter, I'll warm up to it.
- Looks like Shou lost his protectionship. Too bad, I liked it. But at least the others won't bitch about it.
- I really enjoyed the game, but seriously the Nico Nico staff is sadistic. After the whole ﾊﾘｾﾝｹﾂﾊﾞｯﾄ the whole band will probably have problems sitting for a week.

Now that I managed to clear up a bit I went and rummaged through Shou's twitter as planned. I was looking for data for the comm, but along the way I found some other interesting stuff. I was surprised to see there were many questions that I was wondering about posed and answered. I think I should translate the most common ones. But of course I got some good stuff for the comm too. But it's already 4 AM and I still can't get to the bottom of it... literally.

I really need to prioritize or I'll never get anything done.
The most important tasks for now are:

- Finish the two posts. Seriously.

- Finish the damn Yoosu fanvideo that is basically 95% done since last Autumn.

- And finish sorting out the J-Rock folder. That's a start.

Manatsu no Utage '07, '08, '09

Попробую что ли родной язык вспомнить.

Наконец посмотрела все 3. За время увлечения к-попом я безбожно отстала от J-Rocka и это была прекрасная возможность поближе познакомиться с другими группами. Конечно, некоторых я уже более-менее знаю, но все равно посмотреть на сцене - это совсем другое. Напишу лишь о тех, что запомнились.

Итак, по-порядку. Merry. Не могу сказать, что меня впечатлила музыка, но зато энергии им не занимать. А какой финал!



В целом, у меня редко бывает чтобы кто-либо впечатлил с первого раза. Так что больше всего порадовали Sid, Plastic Tree и MUCC. Gazette мне нравится, но из того, что я слышала, их музыка слишком тяжела для меня. Не знаю, честно говоря, за что их так любят. К сожалению, я так и не смогла отделаться от первого впечатления: копия Dir en Grey.

Главная претензия к '07: Какой тут вижуал? Вот были времена... Malice Mizer - вот это был Visual Kei. А это что? Большинство групп одеты ну очень цивильно. Кроме Jealkb, которые как раз лучше бы были одеты цивильно. Ну, не всем мдет Visual-Kei! Впрочем, это не единственная их проблема.



К тому же не могу забыть первый раз, когда я их увидела - играя в футбол с Alice Nine.

Ну да ладно. Наиболее интересным был выпуск 2008, там хотя бы было немного студии и все в антураже. Люблю вот такие сборные эфиры. Мне нравится смотреть как разные музыканты друг с другом взвимодействуют. Можно было сделать куда интереснее, конечно.

Еще с 2008 начался ужос что зовется Oshare Kei. Хотя к An Cafe я, в общем, хорошо отношусь.

Мои, конечно, особо отличились. Такого шоу не видала со времен Vanilla live. Смотрела и думала: "Ну почему же? Ну, вот все остальные мальчики же вели себя прилично!" Жаль, что именно этот выпуск в среднем качастве и 30-минутной версии.



Что же касается '09, особо добавить нечего. Приятно, что в этом выпуске все-таки немного обсудили сам жанр и вспомнили истоки. А еще ведущий испытал на себе чудеса мейк-апа!) Выступавшие почти все те же. Versailles выглядели как-то старомодно, на мой взгляд. Вроде как поезд уехал еще году, эдак в 98, а... В общем, да. Да и Камиджо что-то с вокалом подкачал. В целом, группа имеет несколько несвежий вид. Конечно, эксперименты и перемены - это всегда рискованно, но 15 лет не менять стиль и музыку тоже как-то печально.



Но вообще в плане выступлений очень хороший выпуск.

Жаль, что больше не делали таких вот передач. Много групп с тех пор подписали контракт с PSC появились. Мне отдельно их изучать впадло, а вот скопом я бы посмотрела. Надеюсь хоть с PSC 2011 выйдет DVD.

I've heard about it a lot, but I never really had a look. Until this year that is. The first person to recommend it to me was Veronica, but after one obligatory Youtube click I was left unimpressed. It wasn't until a few weeks later that I got to listen to them properly. I think it was when I decided to watch all of the PS Carvival 2005 to get acquainted with other bands. Kagrra, was the first to perform and I found myself liking Satsuki and Chikai no Tsuki. There was one more reason but that shall be explained alter. After that it went as usual: downloading songs, watching PV etc. Fast enough I was drawn into their magical world.



The thing that really makes this band stand out is their authenticity. They didn't succumb to the popular trends but kept to their own style, staying a Japanese rock band in its truest sense. They're the only J-Rock band I know that doesn't use any English in their lyrics and even in titles. I also read the lyrics are in the style of Heian era poetry. That makes them a lot harder to understand and I can't really remember song titles well, but I really respect them for it. And I think everyone in the industry also really admired them. Their music has a distinct sound of traditional rhythms woven into rock. In terms of instruments they also use koto fairly often. After all, Kagura means 'ancient Shinto music'.

To me they became a band that sort of defined this season. This Autumn I began taking calligraphy classes and became generally interested in Japanese traditional arts and culture. I guess I understood that for Japan the past and present are very tightly intervened and you can't understand the modern without the ancient. So to me it seems that I had to mature enough to like both Kagrra's music and traditional arts.

I'm kinda glad I got into them after all the drama. It would have been really hard to live through. I'm really scared that something may happen to one of my beloved artists since there are so many of them. I don't know much about them as people, but Isshi seemed like a really nice person. I wouldn't call him attractive, but he had this kind gentle aura about him. I do feel a little sad about how things turned out, but I don't see it as something tragic. Rather than that, somehow it's like the traditional Japanese tales where death is just an ending. Didn't they ask to consider their disbandment a demise? It almost seems like Isshi completed his mission and left soon after.

Kagrra, has left a beautiful legacy, created it's own world of music and colourful imagery painted with bright colours and as much as I don't want to sound corny, they already captured a small corner in my heart.

While I was watching PS Carvival 2005 backstage I had no idea what Kagrra, boys looked like. But when Miyavi was running the corridors harassing everyone along the way at one point he stumbled upon this really cute guy and I was, like: "why, hello there!" The guy's name, as I later found out, was Akiya and he was Kagrra's guitarist. Certainly Kagrra's music is great and the videos are beautiful so he really has no effect on my interest in the band, he's just a bonus. My infatuation was pretty brief and didn't go past 50 photos XD I'm not sure why but I fear it might be because I didn't find a member to pair him with. However, it was soon revealed that he's pretty close to A9's guitarists. Moreover, he and Tora actually went on a date. I remember the first time I heard about Tora doing naughty things in the purikura booth, I got jealous. Why does he do that with some guy? Then I found out that the guy was none other than Akiya and I was, like: oooh... well, that changes everything. XDD

Hyde didn't really style his eyebrows properly until '95. But it's sort of good to have them thick, that way you can make any shape.

I'm fully intent on cleaning up the mess that accumulated on my PC. Today it's Laruku. There isn't that much thankfully, but I had this stack of ancient indie pictures to sort which I did. It's amazing that there are so many of them, although they're 98% Hyde's. But, boy, does so look lovely. Not that he doesn't look good now, but, you know, you're only young once. I haven't done a picspam in a long time, so here are my faves from the rarer ones...

No matter what I say I'm still such a girl. I mean there's plenty of armour in the game and obviously the point is being effective in battle. Some of it looks ok, some really stupid, but I tried to ignore that even though those shoulder plates drive me mad. And then some merchants sell normal clothes. I don't know why they even sell it since it has no use at all. One of them at the port was selling this fancy red dress for a hefty sum and I kept frowning at it: who needs this anyway? But now I completed the Dragon Quest and I've basically got shotloads of money and not much to spend it on so I just went and brought it. Reckoned while I'm in town I might as well look good. Then I saw how pretty it looked and dressed up the rest of my party. Finally took two girls who were wasting time at my house for a walk even though I surely won't be using them in battle. But hey, I've go a kick-ass girl band! ))

...was a total waste of make-up. Literally among other things since I looked damn good today. I didn't get the brush so I failed the calligraphy homework, didn't make it to courses and generally was left bitchy and dissatisfied. All because of forgetting it was Friday and going to my sister's friend. It was sort of fun, but for me at some point the mood went down dramatically. I really can't handle people like this. Where did the day go to?

The OHP was updated!

Basically I quite like the look. The colour scheme is very pretty and everyone looks damn fine. The clothes could be better, but I won't be greedy. They look snuggly at least. Shou isn't wearing skin-tight pants for once and Nao seems to have helped himself to Shou's wardrobe. But yeah, overall I'm pleased.

I take it the audio sample at the OHP is the preview to NnY? Sounds kind of boring, but we shall see. I have faith in Shou.
