In terms of fanfiction aren't there a lot of AU stories lately? There are lots of vampire ones and criminal AUs and all that supernatural stuff. Not saying it's bad or anything although in all these years chimerari's was the only complete vampire story that I really liked. But the thing is lately I really crave for something really simple. With those AUs it's usually easy to read them regardless of the characters. I mean, you can just read them as an original, the RPS loses its meaning. What I want to read is simple everyday sketches, lovely scenes at home or going out, something that showcases the uniqueness of the characters and the bond between them. These are the kind of scenes that often play in my head. If only I was better at describing them...

A9: in concert

Hello, Dear Numbers!

An oldie) It was heavier than I expected, but that's ok with me. K-pop made me miss heavier sound and actual instruments. Though seeing Hiroto growl into the microphone viciously makes me laugh. The clothes and haircuts are bad, but that gives it an indie feel. Number 6 was epic - all the running around and cuddling and quick kisses was adorable. It was a good concert.
How can anyone ship this? They're like... sisters!

Vandalize - Graced the Beautiful Day

Picked it for how awesome Shou looks mostly)) His Harley Quinn suit is just gorgeous and hugging him in all the right places thought he seems a but too thin here. Everyone else looks good too. Tora reminded me of Dark Butler. I didn't recognize many songs, but I more or less liked them all. That is one of the best things about concerts - even songs that don't seem good on an album begin to shine so that you can really appreciate them. The hall was barely a few thousand, but they looked like a cult following. My favourite numbers are Subaru and surprisingly Nine Heads Rodeo. Shou looked so demonic, almost possessed. The whole audience was going crazy too, shaking their heads in unison and all. It was very surreal considering they were all girls. This whole heavy set along with Drella looked pretty scary actually, but mesmerizing. Shou was really good. Maybe his voice isn't as strong as some, but he really tries his best. Besides he isn't just a singer, he's an entertainer and a great one at that. Although I think their whole para-para is just weird for a rock band. As for fanservice, there wasn't much at this concert. It was a funny game for me as I mentally directed: "No, Shou! Don't go to Saga, go to Tora" Thankfully Shou only made out with Saga once, but he came up to Tora 3 times and they were all smiley and cuddly. Goody)
A great concert overall.




DISCOTHEQUE play like A RAINBOWS -enter&exit-

I knew I had to watch this as soon as I took a glance. I just developed a fascination with Rainbows and then turns out there was a tour with that concept that I overlooked. Too bad the infamous leopard-print leggings didn't make it until the final stage. But Shou looks gorgeous in it. And it's not just the clothes and make-up, he looks really happy for some reason and he really smiles a lot so he seems to be glowing almost. Though he looks hot doing the dramatic look he really has a beautiful smile with the new teeth that is. It was a bit unusual to have both main footage and backstage in one, but I don't mind much. One more thing I liked is the back-vocalist. Her voice blended in so smoothly and I loved her version of 9th Revolver) Anyway, a picture paints a thousand words... I also cut the whole thing - ended up with 63! bits, 41 of which is Shou.




Alice In Wonder Film

The oldest concert DVD featuring snuggly-tooth Shou and very boyish Tora with a really stupid hairdo. Basically I watched it because it's such a classic. I didn't know most of the songs, again and there were several very heavy ones where I had to almost mute the sound. I don't really mind heavy sound, but rather I find it hard to bear the amount of growling - especially when such nasty sounds coming out of that pretty delicate mouth. But one song I really looked forward to was Gradation, I really love it. Also I remember hearing so much shit about Shou's vocals and so I kind didn't expect it to be good, but really he did well in my opinion. Sure he failed from time to time, but who doesn't. apart from that this concert especially made me want to apologize to Gackt if I ever called him a bad dancer because this was really...
The ending was just... awww~ Tora... *wanted to snuggle him so bad but Shou did it for me anyway so it's ok*




BLACK JEWEL & WHITE ROSE ~birth in white rose~ [2007.04.28]

It's not even a proper DVD, but rather 3 batches with 2 or 3 songs on each so just 7 songs in total. It's a shame even though I really hate Tora's mohawk. It does include all 3 fans' favourite - Shunkashuutou, Number 6 and Blue Planet. What really surprised me at this one is the unusually high number of male fans. I wonder what might be the reason. I don't think they look substantially less gayer than usual. XDD That's about all I have to say. Ok, maybe also that Shou looks particularly delectable. Baby, you don't need that six pack.




TOKYO GALAXY Alice Nine Live Tour 10 FLASH LIGHT from the past FINAL at Nippon Budokan

I don't know why I was so biased towards this concert. It was MAGNIFICENT. Of course part of it is just the feeling of great accomplishment having finally performed at Budoukan. The setlist was nice, but then I guess it's just me finally being able to recognize most of the songs) Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like Shou wasn't at his best. I felt his vocals were a bit weak. However performance-vice I'd say this concert was the best. Which is only natural since it's the latest. I don't really like the way Shou looks here, but then Tora totally makes up for it. He looks nothing short of GORGEOUS, but in a manly way. I don't really remember the last time I just looked at someone and thought: "He's so fucking cool it should be illegal!" His guitar solos, his clothes, the arrogant look on his face and his whole demeanour is to die for. I really like Hiroto's image too. It's very sensual and feminine, but it really suits him. Above all my favourite part was the guitar battle. It was super-cool! I've never seen anything like it with other bands. The drums/bass duo was even more unique. Saga's skimpy shorts were somewhat preposterous but the whole thing was great none the less. This DVD left a deep impression on me. Also I love the idea of putting the fan's names in the credits. Maybe they aren't that original as a band, but they still have things that belong only to them and it really feels like it comes from the heart.




I also watched several performances at festivals and such including Peace & Smile Carnival 2005 and 2009. I have to say initially I wasn't interested in other PS artists but little by little my interest picked up and i watched other performances as well. But that's a whole different story. Anyway, the 2005 one was really old school and amusing and the 2009 one gorgeous. I adore the Vandalized look.




I've never done such a thing before - watching all of a band's DVD's within just about a month. I didn't mean to - I watched one and somehow didn't stop until I've seen them all. Overall I enjoyed all of them but especially Rainbows, Vandalize and Tokyo Galaxy. I can watch them over and over.
I really hope they release a DVD from the Spring Tour, I'd love to see Gemini live.

After awhile being in a fandom you begin to see the real potential pairings regardless of fanservice. I paid no attention to this pairing, but little by little I can't help but notice things. They are some of the weirdest people I've seen, even by J-Rock standards, yet somehow they seem to connect in their own way.
Don't they look awfully sweet and homely? ~



Another pairing that I couldn't help but acknowledge is

this. I can't seriously slash Hiroto, but that one surely has some potential. And both being guitarists gives them a special kind of connection.



My #1 priority goes without saying. I wonder if I should do a detailed analysys of pairings like I did with TVXQ? Maybe one day...

I just noticed at the last performance Yoosu's legs looked weirdly similar. Junsu's usually fleshier but here they are the same and wearing similar pants. I had to stare at the picture to make sure which leg belongs to whom. The staff sees it too! I wonder if I'm really weird thinking about such things?



I think I'm beginning to understand what Mireille Alen said about not wanting her ships be too popular. I mean, with Yoosu and ChunJae you don't even have to try and look for clues!)) Their whole OT3 is... it just screams slash! As a shipper, you become lazy, almost lose your touch. In the good old days we had to scrutinize every video and picture for the slightest hints... Ahaha!

Like, finally! I was afraid that this one might never see the light of day like Empty. What can I say so far? Junsuuuuuuu! I've never seen a man look more unnatural next to a woman. Sorry, bb! Seriously, I just laughed out loud at how ridiculous it looks overall. But I like the girl. I feel instead of being all dramatic this will end up as one funny MV.

Faery - Legends of Avalon

I had a desire to play something pretty and not too complicated while fully intent on making good use of my new videocard so I began looking for a 3D RPG or quest. At first I began playing Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, but the more I played the creepier it got so at some point I gave up. Instead I began looking for something safe and pleasant. That's how I came up with Legends of Avalon. Some complained it's too plain and boring, but for me it's just the thing. Pretty graphics and simple quests and complete lack of violence was just what I needed. In a way it seems a bit childish even, but I don't care. I was always interested in mythical creatures and lately even more so. But more than any of that one thing that I really loved about the game is that it's the first time I played a game where you actually have to fly. I really love it. It was difficult and fun especially navigating around the tree.



Though the critics' response was very lukewarm, the game seems to sale well so hopefully there will actually be a sequel.

Last night I accidentally found out about Miku's scandal. That naked picture of him that now is all over the internet. The rumour has it it was posted by an ex-girlfriend. And there's like a huge troll-fest. Everyone is competing over who shall make the most insulting smart-ass comment. But I... I never really liked An Cafe, didn't care about them, but somehow I just feel so bad for him. That's probably the most humiliating thing that can be done to a guy. He could have deserved it for all I know, but still I don't find it funny at all.

I then stalked the original journal some more. Oh, the calamity! There were other juicy rumours, one involving Tora back in Givuss times and lots of other stuff. Honestly I felt kind of dirty afterwards. I always kind of hated my excessive curiosity, all too often it lead me to harm.

Lately I've been really interested in mythical creatures of all kinds. I guess I always liked that aspect of Heroes, but now as I keep coming across them here and there I actually try to learn a bit more. Like today I read about kappas, those pesky reptile cucumber-loving creatures. I've actually known about them since I was little because of the book with children's tales from around the world. But anyway, the thing that really surprised me when reading about them is how kappas often attack humans to retrieve their 尻子玉. Um, so the ancient Japanese believed that shirikodama is sort of an orb inside of your body. It's basically your soul, and the easiest way to access it is through your anus. That's one hell of an anal fixation there. Now I think I know why arse gets a honorific 'o'.
