I came across this ancient Givuss video and people are, like: "Shou's so cute!" and I'm, like: WTF you're talking about, I love Shou, but he looks fucking ugly! It's not even the looks, the way he holds himself couldn't be more awkward. But behind a small tang of disappointment I feel a great admiration for him. I came to realize that very few people are actually born naturally beautiful and graceful, most have to work hard to become that way. I know how many things about myself I had to change and how many are still left need to be improved. I can only imagine what it took him to fix his diction, work on facial expressions and control his blinking. I was just watching DISCOTHEQUE and though he has very little make-up he looks so fucking beautiful, he's just glowing, really. I guess it also has to do with being happy.

I'll go wear my fucking bite-plate and do some more exercises.

I didn't mean to rant, really, but this is breaking ma heart. I spend hours and pour my heart into a fanvideo and it gets virtually ignored while a small funny vid becomes popular in mere minutes. So fucking mean. I started uploading these mostly to promote my channel and draw attention to my works and now all I get is lots of stupid questions and moaning of mindless fangirls. That stupid 5-second snippet of Jaeho watching Yoochun has become my most watched video with almost 50,000 views! out of 224 thousands total. People's attention span is so fucked up. I know it shouldn't matter, but it does.

Lately I'm in love with Jang Geun Suk's Bye Bye Bye. There's something about it that makes me want to listen to it over and over again. He is not the best of singers, but his voice has this amazing soothing quality, like a lullaby. Also the song itself is really simple and makes me want to sing along.

So I made the mistake of downloading his DVD - Asia Tour that was actually his Tokyo performance because honestly is was a big disappointment. The word 'tour' mislead me to believe that it would be a concert, but it was basically a fanmeeting or I would say, a Jang Geun Suk Fest. He only sang about 3 songs and 2 encores, the rest was all talking and fanservice. The audience basically consisted of middle-aged women, but he didn't hold back for a second - flirting, acting cute and just camwhoring. His rendition of sexyback made me frown. Also his live singing kind of fails. The venue was pretty small and it's a wonder his huge ego fit it.
There went 2 hours of my life. At least I got some Japanese practice. I still think he's a really good actor, but this... I guess you have to be a huge fan to really enjoy it. To me - 気持 悪い.

A9 Channel's become something like Bigeast Station back in the day, except a lot more crazy. Too bad it only airs once a month and Shou only comes to about half of them. June's episode was fun, last part especially. I love that janken-with-hit-and-save game since HOT played it ages ago. Shou was kind of amazing, so damn fast! He looked kind of jaded though or maybe just make-upless?
Anyway, I loved it all: trying to hold back laughter, being fascinated by Korean chopsticks, Tora talking through a flip-flop and Shou dumbfounded by his own awesomeness.

You know, Shou, if you really hate it you could try cutting down on the kissing on stage (which I would personally approve because Saga is such a freak).
And why is he even on twitter when he should be getting wasted with his mates?

PS: It's kind of funny how the whole fandom basically depends on translator. I've seen the translations to this one and even though I'm not that good at Japanese, I'm pretty sure that's not what Takeru meant. Seems like everyone is now misguided. Also there goes my first fandom 'event'.

The Tiger and the General

It's good to have a back-up fandom and drift into it once in a while. Gives a fresh feeling. Haven't been excited like this in a while, I really needed this. These days I continue to delve deeper yet into the Alice Nine fandom. I more or less listened to them for almost 5 years, but it's only now that I decided to investigate the fandom.

And this time I went to another level altogether - I found a favourite pairing. Shou was a given so I just had to figure out who to pair him with. I watched A9 Channel and pretty soon it was obvious. Tora. He's a very unusual type for me, but that just makes it more interesting and I do quite like him. He looks like an archetype of all evil anime characters, so badass. They're not a popular pairing although after that vampire photoshoot they'd done I thought: How the hell can anyone not ship this? XD



I have to say Alice Nine really keep the fine art of fanservice alive. I mean it's not just touches, they actually kiss on the lips and pretty often too. Seriously, Alice 9 is one big OT5 if I ever saw one. But for all their fanservice most of the time it just looks uber-cute. Shou rarely does it with Tora though.

Anyway, I spent the last few days digging all relevant stuff and it's sad that I seemed to have found most of it already. There isn't much. And surely it made me want to read some fanfiction so bad and obviously there's very little. I desperately tried to find some, but even the few decent ones I managed to find were just not it, not at all how I see this pairing, its chemistry. I guess I got older since now I don't care much about the rating as much, I want to see the right chemistry between the characters, what makes them unique. I get bored with PWP fics where you can just switch the names and it won't make any difference. Then I found her.

It was a fic called They'll Name a City After Us and it was almost perfect. I loled so hard at this:
lol I sorta always picture Shou having a toppy attitude thro out, but when it comes to actual smut I'm like o_O no hun sorry you're bottoming again XD

Then there was also Where no Endings End which kind of broke my heart but was so awesome I can't even be mad at her for the lack of proper warnings. I don't think I'll be able to find much more, but even if I won't I feel this is already a lot. Before I found these I was so exasperated that I was toying with the idea of writing my own story, but the plot I have is long and would need several chapters at least and I'm clearly not ready for that. Maybe one day... at least the "Easy, Tiger" joke will always work))

I feel like this post can go on forever, so I'll leave it at that. OTP Evidence post to follow.

I think Japanese humour is basically non-existent. Lame doesn't even begin to describe it. Kind of sad, really. I've never really watched a single comedian, but I catch up at bagumi where someone brings it up. And I don't even follow that many bands. But I saw the only joke that was actually sort of funny (the Dachou Club one) reproduced by both THSK and Alice Nine.
